Arthur Ray Gray

Arthur Ray Gray, age 74, of Oxford, MS passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford. He was born March 11, 1948, in Oxford, MS to Robert “Nat” and Eloise (Finch) Gray. Arthur is described by his family as being a kind, gentle, honest, and humorous man. He was also known to be a jack of all trades, accomplishing anything he set his mind to. In his spare time, he could be found wood working, gardening, and watching his favorite western, Gunsmoke. Arthur never had anything negative to say and was a well loved person by all those that knew him. He was a faithful member of Delay Baptist Church in Oxford and knew that Jesus Christ was his Lord and Savior. He will be dearly missed by all those that loved and cherished him.

A visitation will be held Friday, November 11, 2022, at Delay Baptist Church from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, with a funeral service following at 1:00 PM with Bro. Blaine Davis officiating. Internment will be at Delay Baptist Church Cemetery. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Arthur is survived by wife Lee Ann French Gray; and his children, Landon (Melanie) McDaniel and Taylor Lane (LJ) McNeece; his grandchildren, Taylor (Angela) Barefoot, Ava McNeece, Olivia McNeece, Katy McNeece, and Joshua McNeece; his sister, Euphiazene Gray; his mother-in-law, Joyce French; his brother-in-law, Jason French; and his two nephews, Maverick and Shane French.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Eloise Gray; his sister Stephany Gray Cox; and brother-in-law, JC Cox.
