Chadwick Heath Wrenn, known affectionately to many as Chad, passed away peacefully at his home on May 1, 2026. Born on March 17, 1972, in Water Valley, Mississippi, Chad's life was characterized by dedication, kindness, and a deep commitment to both his family and his faith.
A graduate of Water Valley High School in 1990, Chad furthered his education at Northwest Mississippi Community College. His pursuit of knowledge was lifelong, exemplified not only in his formal studies but also through his serious study of God's Word. His impeccable recall and understanding of the Bible were cherished traits among his friends and church family at Sylva Rena Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS.
Chad devoted a significant part of his professional life to service and upkeep. He worked various jobs for 21 years at Holley Automotive/Borg Warner and then spent 12 years at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, Mississippi, as a facilities service technician under CBRE. Beginning in 2025, Chad continued his work as a Maintenance Technician for the University of Mississippi.
Beyond his work, Chad was a man who enjoyed life. He loved deer hunting and enjoyed reviewing images captured on his trail cameras, occasionally teasing his neighbors about the "big deer" he saw. His love of nature and hunting extended to turkey hunting. One of Chad’s greatest joys was teaching and sharing his love of hunting and shooting with his son, Heath. When it came to song lyrics, artists, movies, TV shows, and actors, Chad's impressive recall served him well--even in remembering obscure facts. Those who knew him remember him as kind and welcoming, a wonderful storyteller who could captivate with tales both humorous and heartfelt.
Chad is survived by his loving wife, Leah Anne Norris Wrenn, whom he married July 12, 2003. Together they welcomed their son, Joshua Heath Wrenn in March 2007. He is also survived by his mother, Wilma Wrenn King (Steve); a brother, Brandon Wrenn (Cathey); step-brothers, Craig King (Audrey), and Brett King (Karen); as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Chad was preceded in death by his father, Larry W. Wrenn.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, in the Gardiner Room of Seven Oaks Funeral Home, Water Valley, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. The family will also receive visitors from 9:00 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, in the same location. A funeral service to celebrate Chad's life will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks, with burial to take place at Mt. Liberty Cemetery following the service.
In remembering Chadwick Heath Wrenn, we celebrate a life marked by devotion—to family, to faith, and to community. His memory will endure in the hearts of those who were fortunate to know him, inspiring all to live with the same kindness and integrity that he exemplified every day.
