Darrell Hugueley

Darrell Hugueley, age 79 of Meridian, MS passed from this life Friday April 2, 2022 at St. Dominic hospital in Jackson, Ms. Darrell was born in Memphis, Tn. to the late A.B. and Maisie (Hill) Hugueley. Darrell spent his entire working career at Federal Express in Memphis, Tn. until his retirement. After retirement, he and Rita moved to Water Valley, Ms. to enjoy a slower pace. He was a kind and gentle man who didn’t mind helping where he could. Two years ago they moved to Meridian, MS to help take care of his mother-in-law. Darrell was a Shriner in the Jackson, Ms chapter and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Darrell was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church.

Darrell is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Rita Hugueley; one son Darrell Hugueley, Jr.; one daughter Dawn Gerlach; four grandchildren Kyle Hugueley, Grace Hugueley, James Gerlach and Matthew Gerlach; one sister Jeannie Sandy.

As well as his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by one son, Daniel Hugueley.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday April 9, 2022 at Sylva Rena Baptist Church.
