Esther Maria Redwine

Esther Maria Redwine, age 66, of Bruce, MS died Saturday, July 18, 2020 at Methodist University Hospital in Memphis. She was born December 29, 1953 in Niles Michigan to Carmelo and Bonnie Valez. She was a very loving, and down to earth person who never met a stranger. Esther was always willing to lend a helping hand to someone in need. The joys she had in her life were simple, yet held a very special place in her heart, such as listening to various types of music, cooking / baking, traveling, and spending time with her family especially trapping with her husband Danny.

Visitation is planned for Wednesday July 22, 2020 in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Services will follow at 11:00 AM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Billy Childs officiating. Burial will be in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery in Bruce, MS.

Esther is survived by her husband of seventeen years, Danny Redwine; one son, Jason Rusch of Bruce, MS; two daughters, Tonia Card of Memphis, TN, Angela Rusch (Jessica) of Calhoun City; one brother, Carlos Valez (Rosalee) of Greendale, IN; one sister, Diana Laird (George) of Water Valley, MS; five grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Along with her father, Esther was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Redwine; and a half brother, Richard Eves.

Seven Oaks Funeral Home’s number one priority during these unprecedented times, is the health of our staff, our families, our visitors, and our community. With this in mind, we are adhering to guidelines set forth by the CDC, Gov. Tate Reeves, and the Mississippi Department of Health. At this time, we are asking everyone to support the limited gathering and visitation policies mandated by our government officials, which include a maximum of 50 people in the funeral home, or alternate place of service, at one time for visitations and funerals, or 100 people at graveside services. We are also asking everyone to comply with the required social distancing space of six feet, as well as advising against intimate contact such as, hand-shaking, hugging, and kissing. Although it is not presently required, we are encouraging the use of face masks.
