Everett Seth Hinton died peacefully at his home in Water Valley, MS on December 19, 2023. Born at Forest General Hospital on July 20, 1987 to Diana Wane (Hill) and Everett Edward Hinton, Jr.
Seth grew up in Beaumont, MS and attended school at Richton Elementary and McLain Attendance Center where his mom also taught. Seth an avid Ole Miss fan, played football at McLain. He and his mom later moved to Water Valley where he graduated high school in 2005. After high school Seth spent some time in college and could often be found with many friends in the Grove on game days. Seth enjoyed playing Xbox and golfing, especially with his dad. After college Seth worked as a surveyor for Rex Howell. When his mom got sick with cancer, Seth devoted his life to caring for her. His mom frequently bragged about the meals he’d prepared for her particularly how little seasoning he used but how fine it’d taste! In addition to tending to his mom, he continued to support her love for antique auctioning and trades. Seth and his mom developed quite an extensive support system through their trades and online sales. Over the years, Seth rescued many animals but Maggie, Dixie, and Penny were his pride and joy. Maggie especially would go everywhere with him. Preceded in death by his dear mother, Diana, Seth is survived by his father, Everett of Beaumont, MS; sister Heather Gaines and brother Thomas Hinton both of London Kentucky; aunt Janie and Michael Domingues of Mandeville, LA; uncle Ben Hinton of Hattiesburg, MS; aunt Beverly (Hill) Dowdell of Water Valley, MS. Among those left to treasure Seth’s memory are cousins Stacy Cofer, Matt Hill, Jay Hill and their families as well as special friends including Coop, Jessica, Josh, Zandra, Amy, and many others.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the support Diana’s and Seth’s friends have shown throughout her battle with cancer and the continued support Seth received after her death.
Donations in Seth’s honor should be made to Second Chance Animal of Water Valley.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
