Gloria Gaye Peacock

Gloria Gaye (Peacock) Flora, age 81, of Water Valley, MS passed unexpectedly Friday, March 31, 2023 at her home. She was born May 3, 1941, in Water Valley, MS to the late Cleve and Anna (Bonds) Peacock.

After finishing her primary education, Gaye went on to Ole Miss where she graduated with a bachelors in education. She would apply that knowledge teaching for a while until she became a mother and made the decision to honor her family by becoming a homemaker. When she wasn’t tending to her family, Gaye would immerse herself in reading books from many genres. She was also very artistic and found great pleasure in painting, sketching, drawing and even writing poetry.

Visitation is planned for Friday, April 14, 2023, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Bro. Brennan Allen officiating.

Gaye is survived by her nephew Jon Peacock of Water Valley, MS.

In addition to her parents, Gaye was preceded in death by her daughter, Stephanie Ann Flora; and her brother, Jimmy Cleve Peacock.
