Helen Coleman

Helen Gholson Coleman, age 87, beloved aunt and friend, died Wednesday, February 20, 2019. She was born April 8, 1931 in Water Valley, MS to the late Vollie and Mary Udera Gholson Coleman. A retired secretary for the Southern California Edison Company and an accomplished pianist, Helen enjoyed traveling, sports, especially the Los Angeles Rams, music, her cats and visiting family and friends at her country home in Water Valley.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Frances Corinne Coleman, Lucile Coleman, Mary Anice Coleman and Fern Lee Coleman; her brothers, Edward Coleman, Wilson Coleman, Leslie Coleman, Sam Coleman, Jack Anderson Coleman, and Howard Coleman, her twin.

Helen is survived by Jill Coleman Gunn and family; Tony Jack Coleman and family, Andy Clark Coleman and family, Linda Griffin, Annis Gholson, Jim Gholson and family, and Garland Gholson and family.

A memorial service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Water Valley, MS on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 10:00 am.
