Visitation is planned for Wednesday, January 25, 2023, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM. Funeral Service will follow at 2:00 PM with Bro. Billy Childs officiating.
Imogene was born during the depression and learned what it meant to come up in difficult times. She understood the importance of family and hard work. As a homemaker, she applied both of those attributes to hers and her families lives. She is described by her family as hard-working and loving. Imogene was the epitome of a down home grandmother and loved cooking and baking for her family right up to the time she became sick. It wasn’t unusual to find enough food to feed the entire community. When she wasn’t cooking and helping with her grandchildren, she loved taking in all of the beauty of nature by spending her time outside working with her flowers, and painting scenes of wildlife. Imogene also loved being around animals even to the point of raising an orphaned baby deer, and treating her dog “Prissy” as one of the family. But nothing meant more to her than her family that will miss her dearly.
Imogene is survived by one son, Larry Harden; five grandchildren, Larry Harden Jr, Jenny West, J.D. Harden, Michael (Tresah) Harden, Crystal (Christopher) Barlow; and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Imogene was was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Harden.
