Ina “Jean” Mann (85) went home to be with the lord Tuesday, March 17, 2026. She was born February 11, 1941, in Water Valley, Mississippi to the late Cullie Wilson and Opal Mae (Blaker) Mauldin. Jean was a wonderful mother with a strong work ethic. She taught us the value of hard work, honesty, and to value family and friends. She was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed crafts, working crossword puzzles, word searches, and shopping at the Dollar Tree.
In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her brother Jackie Mauldin and her daughter-in-law Judy Mann.
Jean loved her family fiercely and is survived by her son, David Lee Mann (fiancé Della Myers); her daughter, Susan Criner (William,Jr.); her nephew, Shawn Mauldin (Priscilla); her grandchildren: Christa Criner, Cody Criner, Kathy Anderson (Montana), Mark Joyner (Lauren), Bethany Kilby (Steven), Marsha Neuens (Thomas), Hannah Myers (Caroline Cox), Robi Myers (fiancé Michael Wyatt); her great-grandchildren: Emily Robertson, Mia Criner, Evie Criner, Brandon Harmon, Tyler Harmon, Lacey Joyner, Noah Harmon, Remington Joyner, Barrett Joyner, Delaney Leonard, Alexis Anderson, Cassie Wyatt, Aurora Wyatt, Dylan Pearson, Kloee Kilby, and Yara Kilby.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, April 2, 2026, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, Mississippi with Rev. Michael Criner officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 11 AM until 12 noon. Immediately following the service, Jean will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Water Valley, Mississippi.
