James Clayton Peacock

James Clayton Peacock, age 57, of Water Valley, MS died unexpectedly Saturday, March 21, 2020 at his home in Water Valley. He was born August 21, 1962 in Memphis, TN to Jimmy and Carolyn (Taylor) Peacock. James attended the University of Memphis where his love for photography began to grow. He was a member of the Civil Air Patrol as well as a member of Whitehaven First Baptist Church. More recently, he was the owner of J. Clayton’s Art Gallery in Water Valley where he shared not only his work, but those from around the Water Valley Area . James was an avid reader, and truly loved nature and photography.

A private family gathering will be held Friday March 27, 2020 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor his memory will take place after the current national crisis has passed.

James is survived by his parents, Jimmy and Carolyn Peacock of Water Valley, MS; and one brother, Jonathan Peacock of Memphis, TN.
