James Edward Stricklin

James Edward Stricklin, age 79, of Water Valley, Mississippi, died July 8, 2022, at his home in Water Valley, MS, with family by his side. He was born on December 27, 1942, in Calhoun City, MS, to the late George Strickland and Clara Goodwin Strickland. James started his working career at Ram Tool in Water Valley, and after many company transitions, retired with almost forty years from Borg Warner. James also honorably served his country for twenty years in the Army National Guard. When not working, he was a homebody and loved being around his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Freedom Place Church.

James is survived by his wife, Ruth Stricklin of Water Valley; 2 sons, Michael Stricklin, Kerry Stricklin; two brothers, Charles Stricklin, David (Karen) Stricklin; five sisters
Shirley Baker, Maxine Rose, Gladys Mitchell, Dorothy (Chuck) Schwinn, and Sandra Melton.

As well as his parents, James was preceded in death by one son, James Stricklin, and one brother, Eugene Stricklin.
