John David Parks

John David Parks of Water Valley, MS, passed away on July 5, 2026. He was born January 23, 1973 in Oxford, MS, to Wendell and Josephine Mei Parks. After attending Oxford High School, John made a career as a carpenter.

John enjoyed the outdoors, spontaneous traveling, building something with his hands, and the freedom he found riding a motorcycle. Anyone that knew him would describe him as a loyal friend and his love of life and for others will be deeply missed.

John is survived by his daughters, Madison Dianna Parks and Josie Mei Parks; his sister, Wendellyn "Wendy" Rose; and two nieces and a nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wendell and Josephine Mei Parks.

A time of visitation is planned for 12:00 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Seven Oaks Funeral Home, Water Valley, MS. A memorial service to honor his life will begin at 1:00 PM in the Henry Chapel at Seven Oaks.
