Jonathan "J T" Dunn

Jonathan “J.T.” Taylor Dunn, aged 23, passed away on August 26th, 2024, in Water Valley, MS. Born on March 8th, 2001, to John and Rhonda Dunn in West Point, Mississippi, J.T. was a beloved member of the community. He attended Water Valley High School, where he built strong friendships that felt like family. J.T. was a member of Sylva Rena Baptist Church where he obeyed Christ’s call to baptism. J.T. dearly cherished the moments when his entire family gathered. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, sportsman, and an all around outdoorsman. Above all of the accomplishments, friends, and hobbies, he was a father to the most beautiful little girl in the world, Ava-Kate Taylor Dunn. His infectious smile and kind-hearted nature left a lasting impression on everyone he met. His daughter, Ava-Kate, was the light of his life, and he cherished every moment spent with her. Though J.T.'s time on earth was far too short, his memory will shine brightly in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation is planned for Thursday, August 29, 2024, in the Gardiner Room at Seven Oaks Funeral Home from 11:00 AM until 1:00PM. Services will immediately follow at 1:00 PM in the Henry Chapel of Seven Oaks with Dr. Shane Crawford and Bro. Mickell Dunn officiating.

J.T. is survived by his Daughter Ava-Kate Taylor Dunn; mother Rhonda McCammon Dunn; girlfriend Amber Gilbert; brothers Tyler Dunn (Ginger), Austin Yeager (Brooke), Drew Gentry (Emily); Grandparents Mollie Dunn, Maxine McFall, Jim (Janice) McCammon, and Mark Samuell; aunt Felicia Robertson and her children Malaya and Tristan.

He is preceded in death by his father John Dunn; grandparents Melvin Dunn, Judy Samuell, Margret Dunn, and Leon “Pop” Dunn.
