Larry Bruce Evans

Larry Bruce Evans, age 76, of Scobey, MS died Thursday March 26, 2020 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Oxford, MS. He was born December 31, 1943 in Flint, MI to the late Leo and Mildred (Alger) Evans. After graduating high school, Larry received a Bachelors of Science degree in computer science. He loved his country and served it for 24 years, first in the Marines, and then the Air Force where he retired as Chief E-7 Air traffic controller. Besides serving his country, Larry had many joys in his life which included being in the model railroad club in Grenada, fishing, and building things with his hands. Larry was a member of Friendship Baptist Church in Grenada, and VFW Post 4488.

Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Evans; one son, David Evans of Japan; one brother, Dale Evans (Terri) of Sarasota FL; and one sister, Jayne Harrison (David) of Davison, MI.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Ron Evans.

The family is planning a private service at a later date.
