Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lucy Mae Beard Hendricks, 75, passed away Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in Water Valley, surrounded by her family. A visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, 2026, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. A funeral Service will be held Friday, July 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., also at Seven Oaks Funeral Home. Interment will be at Delay Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Bro. Nathaniel Rios will officiate. Seven Oaks Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Lucy will be remembered for her loving spirit, kind heart, and straightforward nature. She loved the Lord above all else and cherished every moment spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She never met a stranger and was kind to everyone she encountered. Lucy enjoyed spending time outdoors, whether sitting in her backyard, getting out and about, or fishing whenever she was able. She adored her beloved dog, Little Man, and had a passion for collecting Native American memorabilia and I Love Lucy collectibles. Her warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lucy is survived by her children, Benjamin Earl Hendricks and his wife Mary Beth, Henry Dale Hendricks and his wife Tassi, and Thomas Wayne Hendricks, all of Water Valley; grandchildren, Michael Hendricks, Amber Bowles, Chance Hendricks, Destynee Bowles, Amy Hendricks, and Audrey Hendricks; great-grandchildren, Ryland Hendricks, Grayson Hendricks, Jayson Bowles, and Zylar Hendricks; brothers, J.B. Beard of Edmonton, KY, and William Earl Beard, Sr., of Water Valley; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Dale Hendricks; brother, Harry Lee Beard; and her sister-in-law, Lucy Beard.
