Mary Lucas

Mary Lena Jean Lucas, age 51, of Grenada, MS went to her forever home Saturday, October 1, 2022 at her home after battling cancer. She was born March 6, 1971, in Maben, MS to Thomas and Bessie Lucas. Mary was a down to earth person who never met a stranger. She loved communicating with friends and family keeping up with all current happenings, as well as helping anyone she could. Mary led a simple life, where she enjoyed fishing and watching television, especially her favorite show “Swamp People”. But what meant more to her than anything in the world was her family that she adored.

Mary is survived by one daughter, Angel Lucas, of Grenada; two grandsons, Kason Mathis and Kaleb Carter; one sister, Darlene Bingham; one brother, Thomas Lucas JR; Angels Father Richard Lucas; and two special friends, Alta Hughes and Sarah Mclaughlin.

As well as her parents, Mary was preceded in death by one grandson, Kole Carter.

The family will hold a memorial service at a later date.
