Norma Louise Byford

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Norma Louise Byford, who peacefully left us on July 18, 2026, at the age of 84. Born on August 22, 1941, in Coffeeville, MS, Louise was a pillar of love and support for her family and friends throughout her life.

Louise was a dedicated wife to her husband, John Byford, and a loving mother to her daughter, Carla Stark, and granddaughter, Andrea Stark. Her warmth and generosity touched everyone she met, and her unwavering faith and energetic spirit shone brightly in all she did. A devoted member of Calvary Baptist Church, Louise took pride in her perfect attendance record, a testament to her commitment to her faith and community. Louise also proudly served her community in the "Pink Ladies" at the hospital comforting those who were in her care.

Throughout her life, Louise kept herself busy in a myriad of ways. She lovingly maintained a clean and welcoming home, where her sweet potato casserole became a cherished favorite at family gatherings. She, along with John, owned and operated the local skating rink until the 1980s, fondly remembered as a place of joy and laughter for the young and young at heart.

Louise is survived by her husband, John Byford; her daughter, Carla (Phillip) Stark; her granddaughter, Andrea Stark; and her sister, Carolyn Byford. She was preceded in death by her parents Vardamen Jaco, Iris Jaco and her two beloved sisters, Kate Koonce and Ann Barton.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Louise's life and legacy during the following services.
