Ollie Vee Judson, Jr.

Ollie V. Judson Jr., a beloved husband, father, and community servant, departed this life on May 16, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on April 24, 1950, in Water Valley, Mississippi, he was the cherished son of the late Bertha and Ollie V. Judson Sr. A proud graduate of Davidson High School in 1967, Ollie continued his education at Mississippi Valley State University until he was called to serve his country in the United States Army.

On August 4, 1972, Ollie vowed to share his life with Irene Judson, and they celebrated a loving union that brought forth eleven children. Through the years, Ollie exemplified what it meant to be a devoted husband and a nurturing father, instilling in his family the values of compassion and service. His guiding principles-"We never turn a child away" and "The work of The Lord must go on"-sounded as lasting echoes in the hearts of those he influenced.

Ollie served as a dedicated member of the House of Prayer Church of God in Christ, where he fulfilled his roles as deacon and Sunday School Teacher, nurturing the spiritual growth of countless individuals. His commitment to his faith was matched only by his desire to help those in need, a legacy he imparted to his children.

Professionally, Ollie contributed over twenty years of service to Emerson Electric until its closing, later retiring from the North Mississippi Regional Center. An outdoor enthusiast, he delighted in tending to his vegetable garden and embracing the tranquility of fishing.

Ollie leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife, Irene Judson; sons, Preston (Faye) Willingham of Keller, TX, Jason (Tiffany) Judson of Virginia, Vincent (Michelle) Judson of Water Valley, MS, Ollie Velester of Water Valley, MS, Amos (Christine) Judson of Broussard, LA, Joseph (Jennifer) Judson of Water Valley, MS; daughters, Darlene (Eric) Fleming of Water Valley, MS, Tamela Harris of Keller, TX, Cassandra Judson, Jessica Judson, and Coretta Judson, all of Water Valley, MS; seventeen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a rich tapestry of extended family and friends who will forever hold him dear.

The family will honor Ollie's remarkable life with a funeral service at the House of Prayer, scheduled for Friday, May 22, 2026, at 11:00 AM, following a wake that will commence at 9:00 AM. 

As we celebrate the life of Ollie V. Judson Jr., we remember a man whose legacy of love, faith, and service will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in eternal peace.

Along with his parents, Ollie was preceded in death by one infant son.
