Services for Patricia will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Seven Oaks Funeral Home.
Patricia Leigh Sims (62), better known as Mam-maw, went to her heavenly home on August 7, 2026. She was born on September 6, 1963 in Memphis, Tennessee to Sylvia and Shirley McCullar.
Tricia is survived by three daughters, Samantha (Chirs) Shempert, Melissa (Jason) Pruitt, Christy (Preston) Cotten. Two sons, Casey Sims, Tripp (Mary) Phillips. Nine grandchildren, Dustin and Abbie Beard, Haley and Samantha Pruitt, Toi (Tsisia) Phillips, Amarlee Phillips, Gage Maness, and Addie (Daniel) Bierbaum. Three sisters, Joann (Bill) Vandergriff, Gail Fly, Diane (Frank) Cadena.
She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was also a master of many crafts. She enjoyed rummaging through junk stores, having pool parties, and any crafting idea she could find. But most of all, she loved to help others and spend time with her grandchildren. She was always there to support her children and grandchildren and was super proud of each and every one of them.
She loved to see her ideas come to life. If you wanted or needed something made, she could make it. Her laughter was contagious and her whistle was recognizable. She spent most of her time crafting and sewing, sitting on her front porch, and scrolling Tik Tok or Facebook. She enjoyed working at the local ball park cooking and being the concession stand "boss", working in her flower bed, and relaxing in her pool.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Shirley and Syvia McCullar, two husbands Billy Joe Sims and Calvin Phillips, and two brothers Billy and Bobby Mccullar.
She had a knack for making any situation something to laugh at. She would say, "better to laugh than cry". She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
