With heavy hearts yet joyful memories, we celebrate the life of Patricia Ann (Pat) Welch, a beloved mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, and friend. Born in Water Valley, Mississippi, on November 5, 1942, Pat lived a life woven with love and creativity. She dedicated over 28 years as a seamstress at Big Yank and continued her career for 18 years at the Downtown Inn. Her journey culminated at Larson's Cash Saver, where her passion for cooking blossomed, filling her family’s hearts and homes with the rich aromas of pepper steak and beef stew.
Pat's heart was as warm as the meals she prepared. She thrived in the delights of life—shopping trips, wandering flea markets, and immersing herself in the pages of a good book. Yet, her greatest passion was always her family. Pat embraced each moment with an open heart, creating memories that will be cherished forever.
The family invites you to celebrate her life and all she meant to us. There will be a visitation at Seven Oaks Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 5:00 PM, where stories and laughter will fill the air, just as Pat would have loved. A funeral service will follow on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2:00 PM, where we will gather to honor her spirit and the indelible marks she left on our lives.
Pat will then be lovingly laid to rest, yet her legacy of love and joy will continue to flourish in our hearts. Pat may have departed from this world, but she will forever remain the shining thread in our family tapestry. Join us as we celebrate her life, a life steeped in love, laughter, and cherished moments.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Louise (Tidwell) Moore; stepfather, Joseph McDonald; her husband and soulmate of 63 years, Jack Welch; and one son, Billy Jack Welch.
Pat is survived by two sons, Scott (Lori) Welch of Pontotoc, and Jeff (Denise) Welch of Water Valley; twelve grandchildren, Dustin (Nikki) Welch, Josh Welch, Savanna Welch (Justin Morris), Eric (Sabrina) Welch, Joy Welch (Jake Moorhead), Addey (Brady) Dickey, Jacob Welch, Eric (Ja’ Reba) Schmitz, Andy Hood, Tyler Barton, Luke (Bailey) Littlejohn; thirteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Anita Tidwell; close friends, Jeanette Dickey and Ann Snider; and special mention of her nurses while in the hospital, Leslie, Megan, and Chance.
