Sue Fox Laster

It is with both heavy hearts and cherished memories that we celebrate the life of Sue Fox Laster, who left us peacefully on August 7, 2026, at the age of 68. Born on August 12, 1957, in Grenada, MS, Sue embodied a spirit that was loving, caring, hardworking, and endlessly funny. She spent her formative years in Coffeeville, where she graduated high school and eventually found her calling in the manufacturing industry, notably at Pennaco Hosiery.

Sue was not just a dedicated worker; she was also a devoted military wife, supporting her husband with an unwavering love that inspired all who knew her. Her passion for life extended into arts and crafts, where her creativity blossomed, and her love of gardening brought beauty to her world. You could often find her wandering through flea markets, searching for treasures to bring home.

A proud member of Hardy Baptist Church in Grenada, Sue embraced her faith and shared her warmth with her community. She leaves behind a legacy woven into the lives of her family which includes her children Michael (Chasity) Laster, Christopher Laster, Timothy Laster, Wesley (Patricia) Laster, and Melissa Laster; her 15 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren, whom she adored.

Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Maxine Fox; precious daughter Rebecca Laster, as well as her siblings Joe Irby Fox and Claudia Marie Denley. She is survived by her beloved sister, Shirley Lee (Gene), who will forever hold close their shared memories of laughter and support.

A visitation will take place at 10:00 AM on Friday, August 14, 2026 in the Gardiner Room of Seven Oaks Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 11:30 AM on the same day.
